Key Differences

In terms of cargo space length, the Audi A6 is clearly ahead: with the seats folded down, the A6's trunk is +16.5 in (27%) longer, and with the first row of seats upright, it is +15 in (49%) longer than the Jeep Renegade.

The Renegade, on the other hand, offers more vertical space and a higher opening: the height of the trunk opening is +15.4 in (78%) larger, the depth from the loading edge to the trunk floor is +0.8 in (17%) deeper/larger, and the loading edge is +3.9 in (15%) higher above the ground than in the A6. Differences in width are minor (≤6%) and thus less decisive.

Impact on Usability

The longer loading area of the Audi A6 makes it more practical for long, flat items like furniture boards, skis, ladders, or longer boxes.

When seats are folded down, significantly more loading length fits — this increases flexibility for long items and loading continuous cargo. The lower loading edge height of the A6 also makes it easier to slide in and lift heavy, flat loads.

The Jeep Renegade is better suited for tall or bulky items: the significantly larger opening height and greater interior height provide more room for tall suitcases, plants, stacks of boxes, or bulky, upright cargo.

However, the higher loading edge means heavy items must be lifted higher, which can make handling more difficult. For frequent loading of heavy loads at floor level, the A6 is therefore more ergonomic; for bulky, tall, or irregularly shaped cargo, the Renegade is more practical.
