We process personal data of users of our online offer insofar as this is necessary to operate the website, measure reach, display advertising and provide affiliate notices, or where processing is permitted on the basis of consent.

Data subjects: website visitors and users.

Purposes: provision of the online offer, security, reach measurement, personalised or contextual advertising, affiliate attribution after a click, Trunk 3D product promo.

Rights of data subjects

Under applicable law you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent with effect for the future. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, an email to the address above is sufficient.

You can withdraw or adjust cookie and similar-technology consent at any time via Manage consent or the cookie settings link.

Provision of the online offer and web hosting

This website is delivered as a static site via Cloudflare (Workers / Static Assets). When you request our pages, technically necessary connection data are processed (e.g. IP address, time, requested resource, user agent) to deliver content and ensure security and stability.

Legal bases: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR); where applicable performance of a contract / pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR). For absolutely necessary technical processes, § 25(2) TTDSG may apply.

Cookies and consent management

Cookies and similar technologies store or read information on your device. Technically necessary processes may run without consent. For statistics, personalised advertising and comparable purposes we obtain prior consent.

Consent management (sole cookie-consent UI): For visitors in regions with corresponding privacy requirements (in particular EU/EEA/UK) we show the consent-management platform of Mediavine / Journey (operated with ConsentManager, IAB TCF / GPP). There you can accept all, reject all, or choose settings in detail. Consent is stored (typically for up to about 6 months or until the vendor list is updated or you delete your cookies) and can be reopened via “Manage consent” / cookie settings.

We do not run an additional cookie banner (e.g. Complianz) in parallel, to avoid double pop-ups and conflicting signals.

Google Consent Mode v2: Before your choice we set Google-tag signals to “denied” by default. Only after corresponding consent may Google analytics or advertising tags set cookies or use personalised signals.

Web analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4, embedded via Google Tag Manager (container ID e.g. GTM-NVM7W49J). Measurement runs only after consent (Consent Mode / CMP). Google Analytics may use cookies and a pseudonymous user ID; according to Google, IP addresses of EU users are not stored permanently; coarse location derivation is possible.

Advertising (Mediavine Journey)

We embed the Mediavine Journey ad network. The script loads, among other things, the CMP and ad tags. With consent, personalised ads may be shown; if you refuse, Mediavine may still show contextual ads according to Mediavine. Via the CMP, numerous advertising partners are included under the IAB TCF — details are in the cookie settings.

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR; § 25(1) TTDSG) where required.

Affiliate programmes and affiliate links

We participate in the Amazon Associates Programme. On model pages we link, with disclosure (*), to products on Amazon (including short links such as amzn.to). We do not embed fixed Amazon advertising widgets or tracking pixels on our pages. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon or redirect services may set cookies and attribute the visit for a commission.

We also use the TradeTracker affiliate network (tradetracker.com). On German-language model and comparison pages we place marked text links and a banner to partner offers (currently including LeasingMarkt). Clicks are redirected via TradeTracker (tc.tradetracker.net). The banner is served by TradeTracker (ti.tradetracker.net); this may transmit technical data such as IP address and referrer to TradeTracker. After a click, TradeTracker and the advertiser may set cookies to attribute the visit for a commission.

Legal bases: legitimate interests in financing the offer (Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR) for pure linking; insofar as third parties set cookies on your device after the click, the destination site’s notices apply. If we ourselves store affiliate trackers on your device, this only happens after consent.

Trunk 3D promo

On model pages we offer a notice or embed of the application at app.kofferraum.org (Trunk 3D). A simple link to the app works without analytics cookies. The enhanced promo embed (including variant/experiment cookies such as k3d_price_variant / k3d_experiment_id and event reporting to Google Analytics) loads only after consent to statistics cookies.

Legal basis: for the enhanced embed, consent (Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR; § 25(1) TTDSG).
