Trunk comparison: BMW iX1 vs Opel Corsa

Key Differences
The BMW iX1 offers significantly more cargo length: With the rear seat folded down, the trunk of the iX1 is 11.8 in (23%) longer, and with the front row upright, it is even 9.4 in (36%) longer than that of the Opel Corsa.
The loading opening of the iX1 is also larger: the width of the opening is 9.1 in (27%) wider than that of the Corsa. In contrast, the Opel Corsa has a significantly deeper cargo well: the depth from the loading edge to the trunk floor is 6.3 in (800%) greater than in the iX1.
Impact on Usability
The longer cargo dimensions of the BMW iX1 and the wider opening make it more practical for long or wide items (skis, furniture parts, longer boxes) as well as for bulky luggage that is easier to handle through a larger opening.
The greater length volume with folded seats also allows more flexible loading of larger transport goods.
The deeper cargo well of the Opel Corsa means that items lie deeper in the vehicle and are therefore better secured and less visible. This is advantageous when you want to "sink" cargo (storage below the loading edge), or when smaller bulky parts should not shift.
However, the deeper well reduces the easy pass-through length across the full floor level compared to the iX1 and can make sliding in large, flat items more difficult.
Smaller differences such as the slightly higher loading edge or the somewhat greater narrowest width in the iX1 are below the 10% mark and have little practical impact on everyday usability.
In short: For regular transport of long or wide cargo, the BMW iX1 is the better choice; for secure, deeper storage of luggage, the Opel Corsa offers advantages.
