Trunk comparison: Citroen C3 vs Jeep Renegade

Key Differences (>10%)
The Jeep Renegade offers a cargo area that is 6.7 in (13%) longer with the seats fully folded down and 3.9 in (15%) longer with the first row of seats upright compared to the Citroën C3. Additionally, the trunk opening of the Renegade is 3.9 in (13%) higher and the width of the opening is 3.9 in (11%) larger than that of the C3. In contrast, the Citroën C3 has a significantly deeper interior height between the loading edge and the trunk floor: this depth is 3.5 in (64%) greater than in the Renegade.
The narrowest width inside the trunk is the same for both models.
Impact on Usability
The longer cargo area and larger opening of the Renegade clearly make it more suitable for long or bulky items: longer slats, furniture parts, bicycles (folded), or bulky boxes can be loaded more easily because there is more depth and a larger loading opening available.
The higher opening reduces the need to angle items when sliding them in and makes it easier to load bulky goods.
The deeper trunk floor of the Citroën C3, on the other hand, creates more usable volume below the loading edge: bulky but shorter items can be recessed deeper, which is practical for stackable crates or transporting luggage.
However, the greater interior height behind the loading edge also means that heavy cargo must be lowered further — lifting over the loading edge can therefore be more strenuous. Since the loading edge height above the road differs only slightly (3%) in favor of the C3, the ease of lifting changes very little.
In short: If you frequently transport long or wide items or value easy loading of large parts, the Jeep Renegade is the more practical choice. If, however, you need more usable, deeper volume for stacked luggage and can manage with a bit more loading height, the Citroën C3 is a better fit.
