Key Differences (highlighted: >10%)

In terms of usable volume, the Tesla Model 3 shows significantly more cargo length: with the seats folded down, the trunk is 12.2 in (≈20%) longer, and when the front row is upright, it is even 12.2 in (≈41%) longer than the Škoda Karoq.

In contrast, the Škoda Karoq offers a significantly higher and deeper loading geometry: the height of the trunk opening is 15.7 in (≈77%) larger and the depth of the trunk (loading edge to trunk floor) is 1.6 in (≈36%) greater than in the Tesla.

What impact does this have on usability?

The longer interior dimensions of the Tesla Model 3 make it more practical for transporting long items (e.g., slats, long boxes, or skis) and for cases where the rear seats need to be folded down to create a continuous cargo area.

Especially with the rear bench upright, the additional length means that bulky but flat cargo can be better accommodated in the rear seat/trunk area.

The Škoda Karoq, on the other hand, is advantageous for tall or bulky cargo: the significantly larger trunk opening makes it easier to lift bulky, tall items, and the greater interior height and depth behind the loading edge allows stacking boxes or loading taller cargo.

This makes the Karoq overall more flexible for everyday uses with a lot of vertical space (such as furniture, plants, large crates).

Small differences under 10% — such as a 0.4 in higher loading edge on the Karoq or the slightly wider dimensions of the Karoq at narrow points (+2.4 in) and at the opening (+1.6 in) — have little practical impact: the 0.4 in higher loading edge makes lifting minimally more strenuous, and the slightly greater width of the Karoq is positive but not a decisive advantage compared to the much larger length and height differences.
