Compared to an average car, the trunk is about 23.21% larger. Relative to the total vehicle interior volume, the trunk accounts for around 7.3% (0.9 percentage points above average).

With the rear seats folded down, the volume up to the window sill in independent measurements reaches up to 29.8 cu ft, roof-high up to 50.7 cu ft (manufacturer: up to 60.4 cu ft).

Removing the trunk cover in the test vehicle increases usable volume from 15.9 cu ft to 21.5 cu ft. Under the floor, there is an additional storage space of about 1.4 cu ft.

Vehicle Size and Parking Friendliness

In the test vehicle, a compartment system built under the floor limits the volume under the cover (15.9 cu ft instead of up to 18.2 cu ft without the compartment system) but offers better organization.

Removing the cover or using the space up to the roof edge significantly increases storage capacity. Additional practical details include:

Pass-through opening in the middle rear seatback (approx. 20.5 × 14.6 in) for long items.
Asymmetrically split, spring-loaded foldable rear seatbacks (headrests usually remain in place).
Four tie-down rings on the floor, one compartment each on left and right, three LED lights for illumination.
Underfloor compartments and a deeper compartment in front of the loading edge (~1.4 cu ft) for cables and flat items.
Storage space for up to about twelve beverage crates possible (depending on stacking).

Operating comfort: electric tailgate (standard in Sportline), keyless access with hands-free foot kick as practical equipment.

The tailgate opens high enough for persons up to ~1.90 m; however, the lock protrudes visibly and should be noted by very tall persons. When folding the seatbacks, pay attention to the belts — these have no special fixation.
