Trunk dimensions Jaguar F-PACE

The Jaguar F-Pace 2017 offers a trunk with a volume of 23 cu ft, expandable up to 61.4 cu ft when the rear seats are folded down.

The rear bench is split 40:20:40, allowing flexibility when transporting luggage. The interior is designed with high-quality materials, combining leather and modern elements to create an appealing atmosphere.

Trunk dimensions vary within the model range, with the shape mostly rectangular, optimizing usability. The loading edge is relatively low, facilitating loading and unloading. Practical details such as tie-down hooks and a removable cover are also present to enhance functionality.

Model Information

The Jaguar F-Pace is a mid-size SUV that was first introduced in 2016. It combines sporty design with practical features and offers a variety of powertrains, including gasoline and diesel engines.

The F-Pace is known for its dynamic driving characteristics and luxurious interior, meeting the high standards of Jaguar customers. The latest F-Pace series features state-of-the-art technologies, including infotainment systems and driver assistance functions that improve the driving experience.

Variants of the Same Range

The Jaguar F-Pace is not offered in different variants such as sedan or convertible, as it is designed as an SUV. However, there are different trim levels within the F-Pace, such as the base version, the R-Dynamic, and the sportier SVR version.

These variants differ in terms of performance, equipment, and price but are all SUV models and should not be confused with other Jaguar models.

Yearly Differences

The Jaguar F-Pace has undergone several updates since its launch in 2016. Notably, in 2021, changes were made to the body and dimensions, which also affected the trunk volume.

These changes included a redesign and improved aerodynamics, leading to optimized space utilization. Exact dimensions may vary depending on the model year, but the F-Pace generally remains consistent in its basic dimensions.

Direct Competitors

Direct competitors of the Jaguar F-Pace include models such as the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. The Audi Q5 offers a trunk volume of about 19.4 cu ft, while the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC each provide around 19.4 cu ft.

In comparison, the F-Pace has a clear advantage with 23 cu ft of trunk space, making it more attractive for buyers who value cargo capacity.

More Affordable Alternatives

More affordable alternatives to the Jaguar F-Pace that offer similar trunk dimensions include the Skoda Kodiaq and the Ford Kuga. The Skoda Kodiaq has a trunk volume of up to 29.5 cu ft, making it a very spacious option.

The Ford Kuga offers about 16.8 cu ft. These models are generally less expensive to purchase but may not provide the same equipment or prestige as the F-Pace.

Trunk Volume

The trunk volume of the Jaguar F-PACE 2021 is reported differently: approx. 15.9 cu ft (summary value), the manufacturer states 13.6 cu ft, and independent measurements reach 18.1 cu ft. Compared to the average car, the value of 15.9 cu ft is 6.9% larger.

The trunk accounts for about 5.9% of the total vehicle volume (LxWxH/2), which is 0.6 percentage points less than average — indicating slightly less efficient space distribution relative to vehicle size.

Implications for everyday use: The range of measurement values means that practical usability can vary depending on the measurement method and the type of cargo.

Generally, the F-PACE offers more cargo space than an average compact vehicle, so groceries, a stroller, or several travel suitcases usually fit comfortably. For specific luggage requirements, a practical loading test (with suitcases or everyday items) is recommended instead of relying solely on the numbers.

Vehicle Size and Parking Friendliness

Dimensions: 187 in length, 76.4 in width, 65.4 in height. Compared to the average car, the vehicle is 7.5 in longer, 3.5 in wider, and 3.9 in taller.

Compared to a typical parking space, the F-PACE is 9.8 in shorter and 22 in narrower — so it generally fits in standard parking spots.

However, since the width of 76.4 in is significantly above average, tight underground garages or narrow streets can make maneuvering and parking more challenging. The parking space in a garage or carport should be checked before purchase.

Trunk Usability and Flexibility

The significantly differing volume figures indicate different measurement standards and practical differences (e.g., measurement up to the window line vs. up to the roof, inclusion of underfloor compartments). In practice, this means:

Variable usability: The actual available storage space depends on the shape of the cargo and on built-in features or trim.
On-site testing: Those who regularly transport bulky items should conduct a loading test.
Everyday comfort: For typical daily tasks (weekly shopping, stroller, suitcases for short trips), the model generally offers sufficient space; for very large transports, alternative solutions or a space-maximizing SUV are more suitable.

General Model Information

Familiarity: The Jaguar F-PACE is Jaguar’s large, sportily positioned premium SUV.
Special features: Distinctive design and emphasized driving dynamics characterize the model range (specific equipment details not provided here).
Particularities: Noticeable discrepancy in trunk volume figures (13.6 cu ft vs. 18.1 cu ft) — this is a decisive factor for customers with specific loading needs.
Price/performance ratio: As a premium SUV, the F-PACE is positioned in the higher price segment; the balance of driving comfort, styling, and practically usable space should be evaluated individually.
Competitor models: Competitors are typical premium mid-size SUVs (e.g., models from BMW, Audi, and Mercedes in the corresponding segment).
