Trunk dimensions Jaguar XF 20d

The trunk of the 2016 Jaguar XF 20d sedan offers a volume of about 19.1 cu ft, which can be expanded up to 60 cu ft by folding down the rear seats. The rear bench is split in a 40:20:40 ratio, allowing flexibility when transporting luggage.

The interior is designed with high quality, featuring a smooth loading edge that facilitates loading and unloading. The trunk dimensions vary slightly within the model range but generally remain generous and functional.

Typical features include a practical shape and good accessibility, making the trunk suitable for various cargo needs.

Model Information

The Jaguar XF 20d is part of the XF series, designed as an elegant sedan. This model combines sporty performance with luxurious comfort and state-of-the-art technology.

The XF 20d is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that offers a balanced mix of efficiency and power. The sedan is known for its appealing design, which is both sporty and classic, and offers a variety of features that enhance the driving experience.

Variants of the Same Series

The Jaguar XF series includes various variants, including the sedan and the Sportbrake, which is considered the wagon version. It is important not to confuse these two variants, as they have different body styles and thus different trunk volumes.

While the sedan is designed for sporty elegance, the Sportbrake offers additional storage space and flexibility for transporting luggage and other items.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the Jaguar XF 20d sedan offers a volume of about 19.1 cu ft, which is considered generous for a sedan in this class. The trunk opening is wide and allows easy access.

The rear seats can be folded down, creating additional transport options and increasing flexibility. This makes the XF 20d suitable not only for everyday use but also for longer trips where more cargo space is needed.

Yearly Differences

The model changes of the Jaguar XF that affect body and trunk dimensions mainly occurred in the 2015 and 2020 model years. In 2015, the second generation of the XF was introduced, featuring an improved body structure and optimized dimensions.

In 2020, the model received a facelift that brought both aesthetic and technical improvements but did not result in significant changes to the trunk volume.

Direct Competitors

In the same price range and size, the Jaguar XF 20d competes with models like the BMW 5 Series and the Audi A6. The BMW 5 Series offers a trunk volume of about 18.7 cu ft, while the Audi A6 has around 18.7 cu ft as well.

Thus, the Jaguar XF 20d is slightly ahead in terms of cargo space. However, the models differ in other aspects such as driving behavior, interior design, and technology.

More Affordable Alternatives

More affordable alternatives with similar trunk dimensions include the Skoda Superb and the Ford Mondeo. The Skoda Superb offers a trunk volume of up to 22.1 cu ft, making it an excellent choice for buyers who need a lot of cargo space.

The Ford Mondeo, on the other hand, has a trunk volume of about 18.5 cu ft. Both models offer good value for money but belong to a different segment than the Jaguar XF 20d.
