Note from tests: If the parcel shelf is removed and loaded up to under the roof, the space holds a maximum of about 6.5 cu ft (space for two standard beverage crates mentioned).

  • Opening: Tailgate manually operated with gas struts (no electric opening). The hatch opens wide enough; very tall persons may risk bumping their head on the uncovered lock.
  • Interior equipment: No frunk (no additional front storage), weak trunk lighting on the right, no 12 V socket in the cargo area.
  • Depth: With the rear seat upright, only about 18.1 in usable depth — thus limited usable foot space for wide or long items.

Everyday impact: For urban daily use (shopping, day luggage, short trips), usability is acceptable. For longer vacations, family transports, or regular transport of bulky items, the Mini is less suitable — here folding down the rear seat or larger vehicles are necessary.

Load limit: Curb weight 1615 kg, payload 375 kg — combined this limits the total mass of passengers and luggage.
