Trunk dimensions Mitsubishi Lancer

The trunk of the 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer sedan offers a volume of about 14.1 cu ft, which can be expanded up to 42.4 cu ft by folding down the rear seats.

The rear bench is split 60:40, allowing flexibility when transporting larger items. The interior is functionally designed, with a low loading lip that makes loading and unloading easier.

The trunk dimensions vary slightly within the model range, with the sedan generally providing a spacious and well-utilized storage area. Typical features include the rectangular shape and solid workmanship that support practicality and everyday usability.

Model Information

The Mitsubishi Lancer is a compact car model offered in various variants. The latest series of the Lancer is characterized by a sporty design, modern technologies, and improved driving dynamics.

The Lancer is known for its reliability and offers a variety of features suitable for both daily use and longer trips. The sedan version is especially popular as it offers a balanced combination of style and functionality.

Variants of the Same Series

The Mitsubishi Lancer is available in different variants, including sedan, hatchback, and wagon. It is important not to confuse these models, as they have different body styles and thus different trunk volumes.

The sedan is the most commonly offered version, while the hatchback provides a sportier look. The wagon, on the other hand, is designed for maximum cargo capacity.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the Mitsubishi Lancer sedan offers a volume of about 14.1 cu ft, which is considered generous for a compact vehicle. The trunk opening is wide, allowing easy access.

The rear seats can be folded down, expanding the cargo options and enabling longer items to be stored without difficulty. This flexibility makes the Lancer a practical choice for buyers who consider both everyday usability and space requirements.

Yearly Differences

Over the years, there have been several model changes to the Mitsubishi Lancer that affected the body dimensions and trunk measurements.

The most significant changes occurred between 2007 and 2015, when the design and dimensions of the vehicle were revised. These changes led to a slight increase in trunk space and improved the overall functionality of the vehicle.

Direct Competitors

In the same price range and size as the Mitsubishi Lancer, models such as the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic can be found.

The Toyota Corolla offers a trunk volume of about 13.1 cu ft, while the Honda Civic provides slightly more space with around 15 cu ft. These differences in trunk volume can be decisive for buyers who place particular importance on cargo space.

More Affordable Alternatives

More affordable alternatives with similar trunk dimensions include the Dacia Logan and the Skoda Fabia. The Dacia Logan offers a trunk volume of about 18 cu ft, making it an attractive option for buyers who need a lot of cargo space.

The Skoda Fabia, on the other hand, has a trunk volume of around 11.7 cu ft, making it less competitive in this regard. These models are worth considering if budget is an important factor.
