Trunk dimensions Nissan 370Z Roadster

The Nissan 370Z Roadster 2012 offers a trunk with a volume of about 4.9 cu ft, which can increase to approximately 10.6 cu ft with the seats folded down. The rear seat is not foldable, limiting flexibility. The interior is sportily designed, focusing on driver orientation and high-quality materials.

The trunk dimensions vary within the model range, with the shape often described as compact and flat. The loading edge is relatively high, making loading and unloading more difficult. Practicality takes a back seat to the sporty design, making the roadster more suited for leisure use than everyday driving.

Model Information

The Nissan 370Z Roadster is a sporty convertible that has been on the market since 2009 and is part of Nissan's Z series. With a distinctive design and powerful engines, the 370Z Roadster appeals to drivers who value driving dynamics and style.

The roadster offers an open driving experience with a foldable roof that operates electrically. Under the hood is a 3.7-liter V6 engine delivering impressive performance and sporty handling.

Variants of the Same Series

The Nissan 370Z is available in various variants, including the coupe and the roadster model. While the coupe offers a fixed roof structure, the roadster is designed as a convertible with a folding roof.

These two variants differ not only in roof construction but also in driving dynamics and trunk space. It is important to consider these differences to make the right choice.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the Nissan 370Z Roadster has a volume of about 4.6 cu ft. This is relatively limited compared to other sports convertibles but provides enough space for some luggage or a small shopping trip.

The trunk opening is sufficiently large to facilitate access, and the rear seats are not foldable, which limits flexibility when transporting larger items. Nevertheless, the trunk is functionally designed for a roadster of this class.

Yearly Differences

The Nissan 370Z Roadster has been continuously developed since its introduction in 2009. However, there have been no significant changes to the body dimensions or trunk measurements across the different model years.

The basic dimensions and trunk volume have remained consistent over the years, meaning buyers from various years can expect similar specifications.

Direct Competition

In the same price range and size, there are several comparable models, including the Ford Mustang Convertible and the BMW Z4. The Ford Mustang Convertible offers a trunk volume of about 11.7 cu ft, which provides significantly more space than the 370Z Roadster.

The BMW Z4, on the other hand, has a trunk volume of about 9.9 cu ft. These differences in trunk volume can be decisive for buyers who value cargo space.

More Affordable Alternatives

For buyers seeking similar trunk dimensions as the Nissan 370Z Roadster but with a smaller budget, models like the Mazda MX-5 Miata might be considered.

The MX-5 offers a trunk volume of about 4.6 cu ft, matching that of the 370Z but available at a lower price. The Fiat 124 Spider also offers comparable trunk dimensions and is a cost-effective alternative in the sports convertible segment.
