Trunk dimensions Saab Saab 9 Convertible

The trunk of the 2008 Saab 9-3 Convertible offers a volume of about 14.1 cu ft, which increases to around 24.7 cu ft when the rear seats are folded down.

The rear bench is split 50:50, allowing flexible use of the interior space. The interior design focuses on functionality, with a low loading lip that makes loading easier.

The trunk dimensions vary slightly within the model range, with a rather rectangular shape that optimizes the use of storage space. Typical features include practical accessibility and thoughtful design, making the trunk suitable for both everyday needs and longer trips.

Model Information

The Saab 9-3 Convertible is a sporty and elegant vehicle known for its combination of performance and comfort. The latest series of the Saab 9-3 offers an appealing look and innovative technology.

With a focus on driving pleasure and safety, the convertible is suitable for both daily use and longer drives. The interior is high-quality and offers a variety of amenities that enhance the driving experience.

Variants of the Same Series

The Saab 9-3 series includes several variants, including sedan, wagon, and convertible. These models differ in their body style and functionality.

While the sedan and wagon offer more space for passengers and cargo, the convertible is designed for a sporty driving experience and open-air enjoyment. Buyers should be aware that the different models have various features and usage possibilities.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the Saab 9-3 Convertible offers a volume of about 14.1 cu ft. This is comparatively generous for a convertible and allows luggage for a weekend trip or shopping to be transported easily.

The trunk opening is sufficiently large to load bulky items as well. Additionally, the rear seat can be folded down to create extra cargo space, increasing flexibility when transporting items.

Yearly Differences

Over the years, there have been several model changes in the Saab 9-3 that affected the body dimensions and trunk measurements. In particular, the revision in 2007 brought an enlargement of the trunk as well as an adjustment of the body shape.

These changes improved aerodynamics and interior comfort, which also positively influenced the trunk. Buyers should compare specific model years to understand the differences in dimensions.

Direct Competition

In the same price range and size as the Saab 9-3 Convertible are models like the BMW 2 Series Convertible and the Audi A3 Convertible. The BMW 2 Series offers a trunk volume of about 11.8 cu ft, which is less than the Saab.

The Audi A3 Convertible has a similar volume of around 12 cu ft. These differences in trunk volume can be decisive for buyers who value cargo space.

More Affordable Alternatives

For buyers looking for a similar trunk size as the Saab 9-3 Convertible but preferring a more affordable model, the Ford Focus Convertible or Volkswagen Golf Convertible could be considered.

Both models offer a trunk volume of about 300 to 12.4 cu ft, making them attractive alternatives. These vehicles are often cheaper to purchase while still providing acceptable cargo space for everyday needs.
