Trunk dimensions Subaru XV Crosstrek

The 2020 Subaru XV Crosstrek offers a trunk volume of approximately 20.8 cu ft with the rear seats folded down and around 15.3 cu ft with the rear bench upright.

The rear bench is split 60:40, allowing flexibility when transporting cargo. The interior is functionally designed, with a high loading lip that facilitates access to the trunk.

The trunk dimensions vary slightly within the model range but generally remain compact and practical for an SUV.

Typical features include a robust construction and good usability, making the Crosstrek suitable for outdoor activities. The interior design combines comfort with functionality, making the trunk a versatile storage space.

Model Information

The Subaru XV Crosstrek, known for its versatility and ruggedness, is a compact SUV ideal for both urban and rural environments. The latest series offers a combination of modern design, advanced technology, and proven Subaru quality.

With all-wheel drive and increased ground clearance, the Crosstrek is prepared for various driving conditions. The interior is designed for comfort and functionality, while the safety features meet the latest standards.

Variants of the Same Series

The Subaru XV Crosstrek is primarily offered as an SUV. There are no sedan or convertible variants of this model, distinguishing it from other Subaru models like the Subaru Impreza, which is available as both a sedan and a hatchback.

The Crosstrek is clearly positioned as an SUV and should not be confused with other body styles.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the Subaru XV Crosstrek offers a volume of about 20.8 cu ft with the rear seats folded down, making it a practical choice for transporting luggage and equipment.

The rear seats fold down easily to create additional cargo space. The trunk also features a flat loading floor that facilitates loading and unloading. The shape of the trunk is designed so that larger items can fit without difficulty.

Model Year Differences

The Subaru XV Crosstrek has undergone several model changes over the years that have affected the body and trunk dimensions. The first generation was introduced in 2012, followed by a comprehensive redesign in 2018 that improved both the exterior design and interior layout.

These changes led to a slight increase in trunk space and enhanced functionality. Further adjustments may occur in future model years but have not yet been officially confirmed.

Direct Competitors

In the same price range and size as the Subaru XV Crosstrek are models like the Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-30. The Honda HR-V offers a trunk volume of about 58.8 cu ft with the rear seats folded down, making it superior to the Crosstrek in this regard.

The Mazda CX-30, on the other hand, has a trunk volume of about 15.2 cu ft, making it appear less spacious compared to the Crosstrek. These differences are crucial for buyers looking for an SUV with optimal cargo space.

More Affordable Alternatives

More affordable models with similar trunk dimensions include the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Kona. The Kia Seltos offers a trunk volume of about 62.8 cu ft with the rear seats folded down, making it an attractive option for buyers who value cargo space.

The Hyundai Kona has a trunk volume of about 45.8 cu ft, also positioning it as a good alternative. These models offer similar features and price levels but with different trunk capacities.
