Trunk dimensions Volkswagen CC Coupe

The trunk of the 2012 Volkswagen CC Coupe offers a volume of about 18.8 cu ft, which can be expanded to approximately 53 cu ft by folding down the rear seats.

The rear bench is split 60:40, allowing flexibility when transporting larger items. The interior is designed with high quality, focusing on comfort and functionality.

The trunk dimensions vary within the model range, but the shape remains consistently flat and spacious, making loading easier. The loading edge is relatively low, increasing practicality. Overall, the CC Coupe's trunk offers a successful combination of style and functionality, ideal for everyday use and travel.

Model Information

The VW CC Coupe is an elegant four-door coupe that combines sporty design and comfort. It is known for its high-quality craftsmanship and modern technology. The latest series of the VW CC Coupe features dynamic lines and a distinctive front design.

The interior accommodates up to five people and is equipped with premium materials. The newest models include advanced infotainment systems and numerous driver assistance features that make driving safer and more comfortable.

Variants of the Same Series

The VW CC Coupe is not to be confused with other variants such as sedans or wagons, as it is a standalone model within the VW family.

The sedan and wagon are separate models targeting different body styles and customer groups. While the VW Passat is available as a sedan and wagon, the CC Coupe remains a sportier and more elegant vehicle.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the VW CC Coupe offers a volume of about 17.7 cu ft, which is considered generous for a coupe in this class. The trunk opening is wide, allowing easy loading.

The rear seats are foldable, providing additional transport options for larger items. The trunk cover ensures that luggage and other items are protected from view, while the practical shape of the trunk allows efficient use of the available space.

Yearly Differences

Changes to the body dimensions and trunk volume of the VW CC Coupe were mainly made in the 2012 and 2017 model years. In 2012, the model received a comprehensive revision affecting the exterior design and interior layout.

In 2017, there was another update focusing on technology and efficiency, but it did not bring significant changes to the trunk dimensions.

Direct Competition

In the same price range and size, the VW CC Coupe competes with models like the Audi A5 Coupe and the BMW 4 Series Coupe. The Audi A5 offers a trunk volume of about 16.4 cu ft, while the BMW 4 Series Coupe provides slightly less cargo space at around 15.7 cu ft.

These differences show that the VW CC Coupe offers superior trunk volume, making it more attractive to buyers who value cargo space.

More Affordable Alternatives

More affordable models with similar trunk dimensions include the Ford Mustang and the Toyota GT86. The Ford Mustang offers a trunk volume of about 14.4 cu ft, which is significantly less than the VW CC Coupe.

The Toyota GT86 has an even smaller trunk at about 8.6 cu ft. These models are generally cheaper but do not offer the same combination of cargo space and comfort as the VW CC Coupe.
