Trunk dimensions Volkswagen T6 Multivan

The Volkswagen T6 Multivan 2020 offers a flexible trunk, with a volume of about 42.4 cu ft with the seats up and up to 141.3 cu ft with the seats folded down.

The rear bench is usually split into three parts and can be adjusted variably, allowing optimal use of the interior space. The interior design is functional and high-quality, with a low loading edge that makes loading and unloading easier.

The trunk dimensions vary depending on equipment and model variant, with the Multivan typically featuring a wide, rectangular shape that allows easy loading.

Practicality is supported by numerous storage compartments and a thoughtful seat arrangement, making the Multivan a versatile vehicle for families and leisure activities.

Model Information

The VW T6 Multivan is a versatile van suitable for both families and commercial purposes. The latest series offers a combination of comfort, functionality, and state-of-the-art technology.

With a distinctive design and high-quality interior, the T6 Multivan is suitable for city driving as well as longer trips. It features various powertrain options, including diesel and gasoline engines, providing a good balance between performance and efficiency.

Variants of the Same Series

The VW T6 Multivan is part of Volkswagen's T series, which also includes other models like the Transporter and the Caravelle.

While the Transporter is primarily designed for commercial use and offers less comfort, the Caravelle targets customers seeking a more luxurious equipment level. It is important not to confuse these models, as they have different target groups and equipment features.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the VW T6 Multivan offers generous volume, varying between 1,200 and 141.3 cu ft depending on configuration. The flexible seat arrangement allows the rear seats to be easily removed or folded down to create additional cargo space.

The loading area is flat and easily accessible, facilitating loading and unloading of luggage and other items. Additionally, numerous tie-down points are available to secure the cargo safely.

Yearly Differences

The VW T6 Multivan has been continuously developed since its introduction in 2015. Important changes affecting body and trunk dimensions took place in 2020 when the model received a facelift. These updates included improved aerodynamics and optimized interior design, which influenced the available trunk space.

Direct Competition

In the same price range and size, the VW T6 Multivan competes with models like the Ford Transit Custom and the Mercedes-Benz Vito.

The Ford Transit Custom offers trunk volume of up to 102.4 cu ft, while the Mercedes-Benz Vito provides between 1,000 and 113 cu ft depending on configuration. The T6 Multivan stands out due to its flexibility and the ability to adapt the interior to individual needs.

More Affordable Alternatives

For buyers seeking similar trunk dimensions at a lower price, models like the Renault Trafic or the Citroën Jumpy might be considered.

The Renault Trafic offers trunk volume of up to 88.3 cu ft, while the Citroën Jumpy holds up to 98.9 cu ft. Both models provide good functionality but may not offer the same comfort and equipment as the VW T6 Multivan.
