Trunk dimensions Volkswagen T7 Multivan

The Volkswagen T7 Multivan 2024 offers a flexible trunk with a volume of about 16.6 cu ft with seats up and up to 129.7 cu ft with seats folded down.

The rear bench is usually split into three parts and can be individually adjusted, increasing variability. The interior is designed in a modern style, with high-quality materials and a focus on functionality.

The trunk dimensions vary within the model range, with the shape mostly rectangular, which makes loading easier. The loading edge is low, making access to the trunk practical. Typical features are high flexibility and the ability to choose different seat configurations to optimally use the space.

Model Information

The VW T7 Multivan is the latest generation of the popular van from Volkswagen, designed for families and commercial users. It offers a combination of flexibility, comfort, and state-of-the-art technology.

The T7 is based on the MQB platform, which enables improved driving dynamics and safety. With a modern design and a variety of assistance systems, the T7 is suitable for both city traffic and longer trips.

Variants of the Same Series

The VW T7 Multivan is offered in various variants, including the Multivan, which is designed as a classic van. However, there are no sedan or convertible variants of the T7, as it is specifically designed for transporting people and cargo.

The distinction from other VW models like the VW Bus or the VW Caravelle is important, as these address different target groups and offer different functions.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the VW T7 Multivan is designed for flexibility. With a trunk volume of up to 129.7 cu ft with seats folded down, it offers sufficient space for luggage, sports equipment, or other transport needs.

The rear seats are variable and can be arranged in different configurations to optimally use the space. Additionally, the trunk is equipped with practical features such as a low loading floor and an electric tailgate, which facilitate loading and unloading.

Model Year Differences

The VW T7 Multivan was introduced in 2021, and since then there have been no significant changes to the body dimensions or trunk dimensions.

Previous models, such as the T6.1, had different dimensions that affected the trunk volume. For example, the T6.1 offered a trunk volume of up to 105.9 cu ft, which represents a significant increase compared to the T7.

Direct Competitors

Direct competitors of the VW T7 Multivan include models such as the Ford Transit Custom and the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. The Ford Transit Custom offers a trunk volume of up to 120.1 cu ft, while the V-Class boasts a volume of up to 113 cu ft.

The T7 stands out due to its greater flexibility and the possibility of individual interior customization, making it attractive to many buyers.

More Affordable Alternatives

More affordable alternatives to the VW T7 Multivan are models like the Citroën Spacetourer or the Peugeot Traveller.

These vehicles offer similar trunk dimensions, with the Spacetourer reaching a volume of up to 123.6 cu ft. These models are often cheaper to purchase but may not offer the same equipment or comfort as the T7.
