Trunk dimensions Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace

The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace 2022 offers a trunk with a volume of 8.1 cu ft with the rear seats upright and up to 62.7 cu ft with the seats folded down.

The rear seat is split 40:20:40, allowing flexibility in the use of the interior space. The interior design is modern and functional, with a low loading edge that makes loading and unloading easier.

The trunk dimensions vary within the model range, with the Allspace version providing more space than the standard Tiguan. Typical features include the practical shape of the trunk and the ability to use various loading options to optimize the space.

Model Information

The VW Tiguan Allspace is an SUV model characterized by its generous space and versatile usability. The latest series offers a combination of modern design, advanced technology, and a high level of comfort.

The Tiguan Allspace is the extended version of the regular Tiguan and provides more space for passengers and cargo, making it especially suitable for families and active lifestyles.

Variants of the Same Series

The VW Tiguan is available in various variants, including the regular Tiguan, the Tiguan Allspace, and the Tiguan R.

It is important not to confuse these models, as the Allspace has a longer body and offers more interior and trunk space. The Tiguan R, on the other hand, is focused on sporty performance and differs in engine and equipment.

Trunk Volume

The trunk of the VW Tiguan Allspace offers an impressive volume of up to 62.7 cu ft when the rear seats are folded down. In the normal state, the trunk volume is about 26.8 cu ft, which is sufficient for most everyday transport needs.

The rear seats are flexible and can be adjusted into different positions to further optimize the cargo space. Additionally, practical features such as an electric tailgate and a variable loading floor are available, making access and use of the trunk easier.

Yearly Differences

The VW Tiguan Allspace was first introduced in 2017, and since then there have been several model updates affecting the body and trunk dimensions.

In particular, the model years 2020 and 2021 brought minor adjustments in equipment and technology, but the basic trunk dimensions remained largely constant. Future models may bring further changes in the size and functionality of the trunk, but this is not confirmed at present.

Direct Competitors

In the same price class and size as the VW Tiguan Allspace are models like the Ford Kuga, the Skoda Kodiaq, and the Peugeot 5008. The Ford Kuga offers a trunk volume of up to 57.5 cu ft, making it somewhat smaller than the Tiguan Allspace.

The Skoda Kodiaq, on the other hand, has a maximum volume of 72.9 cu ft, making it the best choice for maximum cargo space. The Peugeot 5008 offers a trunk volume of up to 68.5 cu ft, positioning it as a strong competitor as well.

More Affordable Alternatives

More affordable models with similar trunk dimensions are the Dacia Duster and the Kia Sportage. The Dacia Duster offers a trunk volume of up to 57.8 cu ft, making it a budget-friendly option.

The Kia Sportage has a trunk volume of up to 60.1 cu ft and offers good value for money. Both models are cheaper to purchase but may not offer the same equipment or comfort as the VW Tiguan Allspace.
